Learn More about the Proposed Pilgrim Pipeline in Woodbridge on Nov 17th!

Pilgrim Pipeline LLC has proposed a brand new oil pipeline to connect Albany, NY with Linden and Port Reading, NJ.  Join us November 17th to learn more about the Pilgrim Pipeline project, where the oil is coming from and going to, the risks of pipelines, and how you can get involved.

Pipeline construction could have potential effects on the environment and public health and safety, passing through Highlands & open spaces and densely populated communities.

The pipeline will carry North Dakotan Bakken shale oil which is produced through fracking.  On January 2, 2014, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) issued a major safety alert, declaring oil obtained via hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) in the Bakken Shale may be more chemically explosive than the agency or industry previously admitted publicly. Bringing this fuel into our state could endanger our residents and environment.

The proposed pipeline route carrying this Bakken oil cuts across local communities before ending in Port Reading.
