Invitation to CAPP-NJ Fall Meeting+Potluck

Friends,

Since the inception of our Coalition Against Pilgrim Pipeline in 2013, we have accomplished so much together. From passing resolutions to oppose the project in every town and county along the proposed route in NJ, to enacting 11 municipal ordinances which seek to prohibit interstate oil pipeline construction, to the recent launch of our own independent environmental study to challenge any NJ permit approvals, we have laid significant groundwork to defend our communities and irreplaceable water sources from this grave threat.

However, similar oil and gas pipelines including the now infamous Dakota Access Pipeline are being forced upon communities against their will all across the country. Pilgrim has now formally applied for permits in New York, and an article in this week’s Morris Citizen indicates their NJ permit application could be imminent. After slowing down and recharging our batteries this summer, now is the time for us to come back together, and finish the job we’ve started.

On October 18th, please join the Coalition Against Pilgrim Pipeline-NJ for our fall strategy meeting plus Potluck Dinner.  We will use this meeting to review our accomplishments and re-affirm our goals, align ourselves behind key strategic priorities, and plan our next steps to defeat the Pilgrim Pipelines once and for all.

What: CAPP NJ Fall Strategy Meeting + Potluck Dinner
Where: Parsippany Fire District #5, 180 Old Bloomfield Ave, Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07054

This is a great chance for everyone, from seasoned veterans to folks brand new to our coalition, to find your place in our growing movement to protect water and healthy, safe communities.  Stay tuned for more information including a finalized meeting agenda.

Thanks for being a part of this!
