The company that is proposing to build the Pilgrim Pipeline between Albany and Linden, through the watershed that supplies homes in New York and New Jersey with clean water, and through land that the taxpayers of both states have paid to protect, has “LLC” in its name.  Let’s stop to think:  LLC?  That’s short for “Limited Liability Company”.  Of COURSE they want to limit their liability — if their pipeline ruptures in your community or their construction causes uncontrolled erosion, do you think they want to pay the full cost of the emergency response, clean up, remediation, and rebuilding?
